A HAND WITH THE SETUP
Let’s get you sorted.
Everything you need to get Relayed running in your server. If you get stuck, our Discord community is a good place to ask.
Start with Quick setup
Add Relayed, sign in with Discord and choose a server you manage. Open Quick setup and follow Permissions → Your team → Logging → Ticket panel → Ready.
Choose real roles and channels from dropdowns. Existing installations should use Review & repair to grant the new bot permissions, then move the Relayed role above members it should moderate. Administrator is not requested. Bot invitations open in a new tab.
Private tickets
Choose a support role, ticket category and panel channel in Quick setup. The embed editor previews your title, description, color, fields and images. Publish the panel; later edits update the same message.
Members open tickets through the panel or /ticket. The support team can claim, close with a reason, reopen and download transcripts. Requesters can close their own ticket. Closing retains the channel and makes the requester read-only.
Transcripts export up to the latest 500 messages, including message text when approved Message Content access is enabled. Exports state when text is unavailable or the limit is reached.
Moderation
Use /warn, /warnings, /modlogs and /case for attributed case history. Member actions include /kick, /ban, /unban, /timeout and /untimeout. Channel tools include /purge, /slowmode, /lock and /unlock.
Commands check the acting moderator’s Discord permissions and role order, plus Relayed’s own permissions. Protected or higher roles cannot be moderated. Failed actions do not create successful cases.
Member notices are on by default and can be changed in Quick setup. Choose a moderation log channel under Logging and send a test to verify delivery.
Staff shifts
Use /shift action:Start to go on duty and /shift action:End to finish. Members need the Staff access role chosen in Quick setup or Manage Server permission.
Completed hours are cumulative. Choose a staff log channel to record shift changes. Refresh the dashboard for new activity.
Command reference
Slash commands and prefix commands use the same actions and permission checks. The default prefix is !. Change it under Dashboard → Server settings → Command prefix. Examples: !dashboard, !ban @member reason, !timeout @member 10 reason. Use !help ban for syntax. Prefix transcript downloads are sent privately by DM.
Run /help for the full command list and /diagnose for server checks. Quick setup includes a Sync commands button when Discord’s list needs refreshing.

Something not working?
“Discord temporarily limited requests”
Discord has asked the dashboard to pause requests. Wait for the retry countdown, then select Try again. Repeatedly refreshing or signing in again will not make the limit expire faster. Relayed now shares repeated permission checks and loads each workspace in one request.
My server isn’t in the community list
Check you signed in with the right Discord account. You need to own the server or have Manage Server or Administrator permission. If those permissions just changed, wait around 30 seconds and reopen the dashboard.
It says “Add Relayed” instead of “Open dashboard”
The bot has not joined that server, or it is reconnecting. Choose Add Relayed, finish the invitation in Discord, then return to the dashboard. If the bot is already installed, check its connection above and try again shortly.
Discord says “App Launched,” but I can’t sign in
The bot invitation and the website login are different flows. Return to the dashboard and select Continue with Discord. Complete sign-in in the same browser. If Discord offers Continue to Discord, use its web version to finish.
My sign-in expired or couldn’t be verified
Start again from the dashboard. The Discord authorization link expires after ten minutes and must be completed in the browser where you started. Don’t reuse a copied authorization link.
My settings didn’t save
Look for the error message. If another tab changed your settings, reload before saving again. If your Discord permissions changed, ask a server owner to restore the appropriate access. A failed save keeps your form open so you can correct it.
Slash commands are missing
Check that Relayed is installed with the applications.commands scope and that your channel permits Use Application Commands. Discord may take time to show newly registered commands. Some commands only appear to members with the required permissions.
The ticket command asks for a support role
In the dashboard, open Tickets & support → Panel settings. Enter the exact name or ID of an existing staff role for the requested lane. The @everyone role cannot be used as a support role.
